In February 2007, the Cove Education Foundation received a $10000 donation from the estate of Cecil and Margueriette Richards. This donation will fund an annual $1000 Richards Memorial Scholarship. Cecil, Cove High School class of 1932, and Margueritte both attended Eastern Oregon Normal School and had a long careers in education in Eastern Oregon. Cecil and Margueritte were interested in helping students overcome challenges to get into college. This scholarship honors their efforts by continuing that tradition. We'll be serving Pete Lybecker's sourdough pancakes, from 7:00 to 11:00 A.M. at Cove Ascension School Founders Hall on Saturady morning of the Cove Cherry Fair.

On February 25, 2005 the Internal Revenue Service recognized the Cove Education Foundation as a being tax-exempt under section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code. Review our recognition letter.

On April 17, 2001 the Internal Revenue Service gave the Cove Education Foundation an advance ruling of tax exempt status. This advance ruling is valid from February 3, 2000 until June 30, 2004. With this ruling, donor's may claim a tax deduction for their contibutions to the Cove Education Foundation.

On March 29, 2000 the Cove Education Board of Directors adopted bylaws establishing rules for its operation.

On February 3, 2000 the Cove Education Foundation's Articles of Incorportion were filed with the Oregon Secretary of State, registration number 728467-86, creating the non-profit corporation Cove Education Foundation.
